Category: Construction Services Bid Opportunities Status: Open Description: The Lawrenceville Raised Intersections project is located at two (2) intersections, Pike Street and Clayton Street, and Crogan Street and Perry Street, in the heart of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Each intersection has a disturbed area of approximately 0.20 acres. The proposed project includes raising the intersections approximately 6” to have the intersection flush with the surrounding sidewalks. The intent is to raise the intersections while minimizing the disturbance to the existing sidewalks and brick pavers to slow traffic entering the intersections and create a safer environment for pedestrians. All construction operations must be conducted from 9 PM to 5 AM on weekdays. Contractor to follow the Traffic Control Plans and allow moving traffic in the intersections at all times. All construction areas must be temporarily fenced, and pedestrian traffic must be rerouted with appropriate MUTCD signage. Contractor must start construction at Clayton @ Pike intersection and, once it is substantially completed, start at Crogan @ Perry (two mobilizations accounted). The construction staging area is located near 294 W Pike St (near bridge). The quantities shown on sheet 6-01 are for reference only, the quantities on the bidding form are the final and valid for this Contract.
