Bid Title: Renovations to Veterans Memorial Boulevard Park
Category: Construction (Site Work) Status: Open Description: The City of Bristol is seeking bids for installation of sidewalks, construction of a bathroom facility, and other associated work within Veterans Memorial Boulevard Park to provide connectivity and accessibility within the park. Bid documents may be obtained at no charge by downloading from the City of Bristol website via the document link noted below.
Bids will be accepted until November 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at the City of Bristol Purchasing Department, 111 North Main Street, 3rd Floor, Bristol CT 06010, at which time bids will be opened and read. Bids received after the opening date and time will not be considered for award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest.
Funding for this project is being provided by American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) Funds. As a result of the funding source, the selected vendor must have an active registration with the System for Award Management (“SAM”) ( https://www.sam.gov ) pursuant to 2 CFR Part 25, and must agree to federal provisions relevant to such funding.
Each bid shall be in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Bristol Purchasing Department, identified as "Bid 2C25-037 Veterans Memorial Boulevard Park" accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bidders base bid amount, in the form of a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Bristol. The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut.
The contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin.
