NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed quotes will be received by the City of Dade City (City)
until 2:00 PM, Local Time, December 4, 2025 to provide Public Works/Utilities Admin Building
Project.
Brief Description: The City of Dade City is seeking quotes for a new 60x120 foot metal building
for the Public Works and Utilities departments. For illustrative purposes only, the following
picture denotes approximate design for the building that is needed to be quoted.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to furnish and install a
prefabricated metal building system measuring 60 feet by 120 feet, complete and ready for use, in accordance with
project specifications, applicable building codes, and industry standards. The building system shall be specifically
designed and engineered to withstand Category 5 hurricane wind loads as defined by the Florida Building Code
and the latest ASCE 7 design standards.
Following erection of the primary 60’ x 120’ building, the project will include the construction of various
administrative spaces (such as offices, meeting rooms, and support areas), including the installation of lighting,
HVAC, windows, and interior finishes.
Work Included
The Scope of Work shall include, but is not limited to:
Design & Engineering:
o Provide stamped structural drawings and calculations by a licensed professional engineer.
o Ensure compliance with all local codes, Category 5 hurricane wind speeds, snow load, and
seismic requirements.
o Provide architectural and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) design for interior administrative
spaces within the building.
Foundation & Site Work:
o Site grading and preparation as required.
o Layout, excavation, formwork, reinforcing steel, and pouring of concrete foundation and slab suitable
for a 60’ x 120’ structure.
o Anchor bolt placement per building manufacturer’s requirements.
Building Supply & Delivery:
o Manufacture and deliver prefabricated metal building package to the project site.
o Provide framing system, wall and roof panels, fasteners, trim, flashing, doors, windows, and
insulation (if applicable).
o All building components shall be certified and rated for Category 5 hurricane wind resistance.
Building Erection:
o Structural steel erection, bracing, and connections designed for extreme wind loads.
o Installation of wall panels, roof panels, trim, and accessories.
o Installation of personnel doors, overhead doors, and impact-resistant windows.
o Application of insulation and vapor barriers (if specified).
Administrative Space Build-Out:
o Construction of interior walls and partitions for offices, meeting rooms, and support areas within the
60’ x 120’ footprint.
o Installation of HVAC systems sized appropriately for administrative use.
o Installation of electrical systems, including interior and exterior lighting, outlets, and service panels.
o Installation of plumbing (if required for restrooms or break areas).
o Installation of energy-efficient windows and interior finishes.
o Painting, flooring, and ceiling treatments.
Finishes & Accessories:
o Gutter and downspout installation.
o Sealants, caulking, and weatherproofing.
o Touch-up paint and corrosion protection.
Work Excluded
Unless otherwise noted in the contract, the following are excluded from this Scope of Work:
Landscaping, fencing, and site utilities beyond the building footprint.
Specialized furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
IT/data cabling and low-voltage systems (unless separately specified).
Permits, testing, and inspections not directly related to building installation.
PART I GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. PURPOSE
The City of Dade City is seeking qualified firms and to establish a firm fixed price to ensure that
the City is always receiving the most economical service costs while maximizing the quality and
level of service. A contract/agreement resulting from this RFP shall be subject to the terms
and conditions set forth in a City Contract and any terms and conditions included in this RFP.
The City reserves the right to include in any contract document such terms and conditions, as
it deems necessary for the proper protection of the rights of the City. The City will not be
obligated to sign any contracts, agreements or other documents provided by the Contractor(s)
with their submittal.
1.2. OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is the selection and ranking of the
most qualified and experienced proposer in providing services.
1.3. ISSUING OFFICE
The contracting agency shall be the City of Dade City, located at 38020 Meridian Avenue, Dade
City, FL 33525.
1.4. REJECTION
The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or to waive any informality,
existing in any proposal, or to accept the proposal which best serves the interest and intent of
this project from the most responsive and responsible proposer.
