Contract Section 45 Subcontracting?A.1 Pursuant to Section 45 of the Intent and General Conditions, the Contractor may subcontractup to fifty percent (50%) of the work under this Contract. No more than fifty percent (50%) ofthe work may be subcontracted.Q.2 Is this a Davis-Bacon project?A.2 No, this is not a Davis-Bacon project.Q.3 Will substitutions be allowed for the roof panel, such as Petersen or Sheffield?A.3 See specification section 012500 for substitution requests.Q.4 Are the CAD files for this project available? If so, can we receive a copy?A.4 CAD will be made available after award of the contract.Q.5 The architectural drawings indicate a 2-inch rib height panel. Based on our experience andavailable manufacturer profiles, a 2-inch rib is typically associated with a mechanically seamed panelsystem, rather than a snap-lock panel with a clip system. It is unclear whether the design intent is amechanically seamed standing seam panel system, or a snap-lock (clip system) panel with a similarprofile. Could you please confirm the intended panel type so we can ensure our proposal aligns withthe project specifications? If a specific manufacturer or profile is required, please advise.A.5 Note referring to “2 inch” rib height is an error. Contractor to price roof panel listed inspecifications.Q.6 The Plans Show Wall Hung Lavatories at the Bathrooms. Specs Call for Integral Sinks. If integralsinks are to be provided, please provide a detail for the Vanity Cabinet/top that will be needed toproperly install these sinks. Please advise.A.6 The plumbing specifications and schedules include wall-mounted lavatories. See plumbingspecification 224200 section 2.2 and fixture LV-2 on the Plumbing Fixture Schedule on sheetP4.1.Q.7 Will the service entrance conduit and conductors be routed to the pedestal provided by thepower company?A.7 The contractor shall provide two prices for the service entrance feeder between the self-contained meter and the utility company connection.Base Bid: Provide service entrance feeder (see Oneline Diagram for size) from the top of theself-contained meter base to a weatherhead above the roof in rigid galvanized steel conduit.Leave five (5) feet of conductors from the weatherhead for final connections by the utilitycompany. Routeunderground feeder outside of the building footprint on the east and south sides of the buildingto the existing power pole located on the south-west corner of the lot. Provide one (1) 24”x24”quazite box in the underground raceway path. Route raceway and conductors up pole to aheight as required by the utility company. Coordinate with the utility company for the new 3-phase pole-mounted transformer bank, raceway type on power pole and final connections.Q.8 Are we to include primary service conducts and a concrete transformer pad?A.8 See A.7.Q.9 Do we need to include 100 ft. of secondary service conduit and conductors per the riser diagram?A.9 See A.7.Q.10 What will be required for the communications entrance conduits from the right of way?A.10 Contractor to provide and allowance for low voltage scope in the amount of $125,000.00.Q.11 Can a Combination Service Entrance Rated Disconnect/ Manual transfer switch be utilized with aremote terminal box for docking at the ground level for this project? The Portland cement does not need tobe permeable.Q.16 Confirm that the Fire Alarm symbols shown in the legend on plans, page FA0.1, are meant toshow addressable smoke detection with a Single 'S' in the hexagon see page FA 1.1, and not a doubleS, as shown in the legendA.16 That is correct, the two symbols shown on the legend with the description ‘System SmokeDetector’ should only have a single S in the hexagon.Q.17 Chain Link Fence Specifications (Sheets C4.0 and C7.0)The 6' High Chain Link Fence detail on C7.0 provides post footing, tension wire, truss bar, and tie wireinformation, but the following items are not specified.
