One company is to be responsible for all aspects of stage rigging equipmentinstallation. Work in this Section: Includes furnishing labor, materials, tools,transportation services, supervision, etc., to complete installation of stage riggingequipment and other items as described in these specifications, as illustrated onaccompanying drawings; or as directed by the Owner's Representative.1.3 RELATED SECTIONSA. Preparation instructions and recommendations.3. Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.4. Typical installation methods.5. Shop Drawings: Provide expedited submittal of shop drawings within 14 daysafter award of Contract.6. Shop Drawing Information: Submit completed package at one time. Partialsubmittal will be rejected.7. Drawings: Complete details, dimensions, product types, equipment locations,clearances, guides, cables, sets, Contractor fabricated equipment, and otherdetails required to describe the Work.8. Scale; Equipment Layouts: 1:50; 1/4 inch equals 1 ft (6 mm equals 305mm).9. Scale; Equipment Details, Mounting, and Other Details: 1:25; 1/2 inchequals 1 ft (13 mm equals 305 mm).10. Each Sheet to have Designated Space for the Following: Approval stamp,Project name, Supplier's name, address, telephone number, and email, andDate submitted.11. Variations from Construction Documents and Specifications: Indicate byarrow and boxed caption.12. Approval of Submitted Equipment: Obtained prior to equipment purchase orfabrication.13. Rejected Shop Drawings: Correct and resubmit in manner specified.14. Submit the following items for Architect's approval, prior to fabrication:a. Stage plan view.b. Stage side section view.c. Gridiron Layout: Stage equipment.d. Electrical Riser Diagrams: Necessary power and control wiring forrigging equipment and systems.e. Plan and Elevation Views: Power, motor and control hardware locationsand layout.f. Custom Panels: Dimensions for panel layouts, finishes and materials.g. Details of installation and erection, including adjoining conditions andnecessary clearances.h. Variations from Construction Documents and Specifications: Indicate byarrow and boxed caption.C. Discrepancies: If there are discrepancies in the specifications, the Contractor mustask the Architect for clarification. If no clarification is requested, the Architect'sjudgment will rule.D. Record Drawings and Data: Within 30 days of final test and installation completion,submit the following to the Architect.1. Three sets of maintenance data including a list indicating replacement partslists for all items of equipment, wiring diagrams, control diagrams, any andall keys for cabinets, racks, key operated switches etc. and completeoperation manuals.3. Three Certificates of Guarantee.1.6 QUALITY ASSURANCEA. Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing productsspecified in this section with a minimum five years documented experience.B. Installer Qualifications: Company specializing in performing Work of this sectionwith minimum two years documented experience with projects of similar scope andcomplexity.C. Source Limitations: Provide each type of product from a single manufacturingsource to ensure uniformity.1.7 PRE-INSTALLATION CONFERENCEA. Convene a conference approximately two weeks before scheduled commencementof the Work. Attendees shall include Architect, Contractor and trades involved.Agenda shall include schedule, responsibilities, critical path items and approvals.1.8 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLINGA. Store and handle in strict compliance with manufacturer's written instructions andrecommendations.B. Protect from damage due to weather, excessive temperature, and constructionoperations.1.9 PROJECT CONDITIONSA. Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) withinlimits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install productsunder environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.1.10 WARRANTYA. Manufacturer's standard limited warranty unless indicated otherwise.B. Installer: Guarantees the work result this specification defines, including materialsand workmanship for three years from date of full acceptance of work inaccordance with the following conditions.1. Warranty must be in effect on materials and equipment for three years fromdate of system commissioning under following conditions.a. Maintaining warranty requires annual inspection of system by a factorytrained and certified contractor.b. The three-year warranty is contingent upon annual inspection at end ofthe first and second years of service. If annual inspection is not performed at the end of the first or secondyear of service, the warranty becomes void at the end of that serviceyeard. Warranty Inspection Reports Must be sent to factory by the inspectingcontractor within 10 days of completing inspection.2. Nothing in this guarantee shall cause repair or replacement by Contractorwhere negligence, neglect or improper operation by Owner has caused failureof any equipment installed as defined by this specification.1.11 SYSTEM INTEGRATORA. System Integrator: Contractor may utilize to coordinate and assist the installationof motorized rigging equipment as specified. This may include but not be limited toall motorized rigging and miscellaneous equipment.1. The following companies have prior approval as System Integrator:a.
