Overview

Summary

The Lea County Board of County Commissioners is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide professional services for a roadway improvement project. Services will include a roadway alignment study, right-of-way (ROW) acquisition support, and full roadway design in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements. This procurement is conducted pursuant to the New Mexico Procurement Code, NMSA 1978, §13-1-128 et. seq., and Lea County Procurement Policies.

Background

Lea County intends to construct a new roadway from NM 18 to NM 483 in the north Hobbs area. The project may include:

• Evaluation of existing roadway conditions and constraints
• Assessment of safety, capacity, access, drainage, and environmental considerations
• Identification of alignment alternatives
• Preparation of right of way acquisition surveys and aid in right of way acquisition
• Development of construction-ready roadway plans and specifications
