Bids will be accepted from Contractorsprequalified by the Maine Department of Transportation for Building Construction Projects. Allother bids may be rejected.Contractors not currently prequalified by MaineDOT for Building projects can seekprequalification for this project prior to the award by submitting the prequalification applicationincluded with this notice directly to the Authority at the above address. Contractors not currentlyprequalified by MaineDOT for Building Projects or Contractors not prequalified by the MTA forBuilding projects may not be awarded a contract for this project.This Project includes a wage determination developed by the State of Maine Departmentof Labor.The work consists of the following:1. Construction of an approximate 6,000 square foot wood-framed building consisting ofoffices, a crew room with kitchenette, locker and toilet rooms.2. Construction includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:The work includes all building structure, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, as wellas all site work, grading, pavement, lighting, utilities, and all other work incidentalthereto in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.3. Construction of reinforced concrete footings, piers, foundation walls, and slabs-on-grade including exterior concrete aprons and entry foundation/slab systems.4. Construction of the building proper, including all equipment and interior and exteriorfinishes.5. Furnishing and installing plumbing, heating, and electrical, complete with allappurtenances and accessories.6. Coordinating with the utility to provide transformers and connections.7. Coordinating with the utility to relocate existing underground power and telecomconnections to the Police Garage located on the campus, to overhead lines include newN-1poles, service drops to underground conduit and wire, and new underground manholeswith spliced connections.Plans and Contract Documents may be examined by prospective Bidders weekdaysbetween 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the office of the Maine Turnpike Authority, 2360 CongressStreet, Portland, Maine. The Plans and Contract Documents may be obtained from the Authorityupon payment of Four Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($450.00) for each set, whichpayment will not be returned.
