Background

Barney Jordan Landing is a publicly accessible boating facility that provides 24-hour access to the Congaree River for boaters, anglers, paddlers, and other recreational users. Normal wear and tear, combined with recurring flood events, have resulted in deterioration of the courtesy dock, parking lot, and associated infrastructure. Richland County is seeking professional engineering services for the rehabilitation of an existing boating facility. Improvements may include replacement of the courtesy dock and piles, parking lot, and other associated site improvements.
