Bid Title: RFB Taholah Demolition House
Category: Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) Status: Open Description: The Quinault Indian Nation is seeking bids to demolish one house in Taholah, WA. Contractor will provide all labor, materials and equipment. Contractors are required to provide asbestos testing and must be certified to remove the asbestos material if there is any found within the home.

Bidders will not offer any gratuities, favors oranything of monetary value to any employee, officer, or agent of the Nation for the purpose of influencingfavorable disposition toward either their proposal or any other proposal submitted as a result of this RFB. Allproposals submitted hereunder become the exclusive property of the Nation. The Nation reserves the right toaccept all or part of the bid, or to decline the whole bid.The successful bidder will sign the attached Contract documents, sign a Certification and Debarment Form,provide a W-9, submit certifications of required insurance coverage, and obtain a Quinault Indian Nationbusiness licenses for all firms/subcontractors doing work on the Quinault Reservation. Subcontracts must beapproved by the Quinault Indian Nation.SafetyAt a minimum. all workers performing on-site construction work shall wear high visibility safety vests, hardhats and appropriate footwear, and shall wear safety goggles and gloves as appropriate for the work task theyare undertaking. Given the uncertain nature of the home and property, the Contractor should assume thatasbestos and other potentially harmful substances are present and wear appropriate respirators and/or masks.The Contractor shall furnish a copy of its safety plan prior to mobilization to site.Nation’s Tribal Employment (TERO)The Nation’s Tribal Employment Right Ordinance (TERO) provides the Nation’s Indian Preference policy thatapplies to this contract—see attached. Other TERO requirements include submission of a Compliance Plan andpayment of a fee prior to commencing work on the Quinault Indian Reservation. Every Contractor with aContract Sum of $10,000 or more, or more than one contract in a 12- month period and the aggregate sum ofthose contracts is $10,000 or more, shall pay a one-time fee of 1.75% of the total Contract Sum. Such fee shallbe paid by the Contractor.
