Event Description

The South Dakota Department of Health, Office of Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, South Dakota Cancer Registry (SDCR) is a state-wide population-based cancer registry. South Dakota law SDCL 1-43-11 through 1-43-18, inclusive, requires cancer reporting to the SDCR by all entities that detect, diagnose, and treat reportable cancer in South Dakota. Adherence to national standards and guidelines assures quality and consistency in cancer case reporting. Strict security measures assure confidentiality of patient and institutional records. The SDCR complies with all applicable federal and state laws related to access of protected health information.

It is the purpose of this RFP to solicit proposals for the performance of the following cancer registry projects to be completed exclusively by active certified oncology data specialists (ODSs) of the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) under the direction of the SDCR. The projects are as follows: 1) Pathology Reports; 2) Death Clearance; 3) Quality Control; 4) Case Consolidation; and 5) Cancer Registry Operations.

Offerors may email inquiries concerning this RFP to obtain clarification of requirements. No inquiries will be accepted after the date and time indicated in the Schedule of Activities. Inquiries must be emailed to KAY DOSCH at kay.dosch@state.sd.us with the subject line “RFP #25- 0904006-024”.

The State will to respond to offeror’s inquiries (if required) via e-mail. In addition, all inquiries and the State’s response will be posted on the state’s e-procurement system. Offerors may not rely on any other statements, either of a written or oral nature, that alter any specification or other term or condition of this RFP. Offerors will be notified in the same manner as indicated above regarding any modifications to this RFP.
