Technical and Corporate Services (TCS), on behalf of the Minister of Municipal Affairs, is the provincial body responsible for the general oversight of the fire safety portion of the Alberta public safety system. Under the direction of the Office of the Fire Commissioner (OFC), the investigation team may collect evidentiary samples related to cause and origin at the fire investigation scene.
