Request for Proposal
Technical and Corporate Services (TCS), on behalf of the Minister of Municipal Affairs, is the provincial body responsible for the general oversight of the fire safety portion of the Alberta public safety system. Under the direction of the Office of the Fire Commissioner (OFC), the investigation team may collect evidentiary samples related to cause and origin at the fire investigation scene. These fire debris samples and extracts must be stored securely and, in a climate, controlled environment for potential use in criminal and other prosecutions.

The successful Proponent must have both the storage capability for up to a maximum of 2,000 samples and extracts (stored in 1L unlined metal paint cans), as well as the understanding of how to store samples of ignitable liquid residue collected, and the extracts generated from those samples via forensic analysis.
