Description
The Calgary Metropolitan Region (CMR) Growth Plan (Growth & Servicing Plans — CMRB) directs the creation of Context Studies in four areas of the region that are referred to as Joint Planning Areas (JPAs). These JPAs have been identified as areas where - in addition to urban municipalities and hamlet growth areas - growth will be directed within the region. They are also areas where significant infrastructure and growth pressures either currently exist or are anticipated. Context Studies are a non-statutory document for collaboratively facilitating growth in the JPAs, and provide a foundation for the sustainable, equitable and efficient provision of servicing, mobility, recreation, and environmental management.
This project is for JPA 2, which includes an east portion of The City of Calgary, a west portion of the City of Chestermere, and a central east portion of Rocky View County (see map below). The three JPA 2 municipalities are working trilaterally in a collaborative environment to create a Context Study for the area by the August 2025 Calgary Metropolitan Region Board (CMRB) deadline.Show more description Show less descriptionContract durationThe estimated contract period will be 10 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/02/17.
