SummaryThe City of Reading (City) is seeking bids/proposals to create coordinated, community-driven solutions that promote safety, structural healing, and long-term violence reduction across our neighborhoods as further detailed throughout this RFP in clusive of all tasks, deliverables and/or products required herein. If the City makes an award in connection with the bid/proposal, Attachment K “Contract” and all terms and conditions of thi s RFP a s well as all documents incorporated therein shall form the entire agreement between the City and the successful Bidder.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit bids/proposals from qualified independent consultants or consulting firms to manage and coordinate this critical planning phase. The selected partner will lead a comprehensive, data-driven needs assessment and develop a sustainable, resilient collaborative framework to reduce gun and group-related youth violence within our city.
BackgroundBuilding on our ongoing community development initiatives, neighborhood programming, and active downtown engagement, the City of Reading has been awarded a Collaborative Community Violence Intervention (CCVI) Track 1 Planning Grant. This initiative is proudly funded by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).
