Project Description

The City operates under a decentralized procurement system; individual Departments are responsible for purchasing those goods and services required to perform their functions. The Procurement Division acts as a liaison between Departments, responsible for administering & enforcing purchasing policies & procedures; identifying & establishing procurement strategies, methods & processes; and providing assistance with solicitation development, negotiations & contract awards.

All formal solicitations and select informal solicitations (requests for quotes) will be published here and be advertised on the State of Maryland’s eMaryland Marketplace . Vendors interested in doing business with the City should register with eMaryland Marketplace. The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to select a qualified Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) to work collaboratively with the City of Gaithersburg and the selected A/E team to plan and manage the construction renovation of 12 S. Summit Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877.

The building is a 75,000-square-foot Class A commercial building owned by the City and will be transformed into a new municipal building to consolidate several departments into one building improving customer service and public accessibility.
