OverviewPost InformationPosted At:Wed, Jun 11, 2025 12:14 PMSealed Bid Process:Yes (Bids Sealed / Pricing Sealed)Private Bid:NoSummaryThe Youth, Family, and Community Engagement Department seeks community-based organizations to support the vision outlined in the district's Strategic Plan, which aims to continue providing our staff, students, and families with various programming efforts during the 2025-2026 School Year. Our goal is to continue collaborating with Community-based organizations to ensure that our NHPS community is provided with high-quality programming, promoting progression and engagement among all parties involved.
Entering the 25-26 school year, we are emphasizing the need for collaboration with partners across the New Haven Community to support our students. As resources continue to dwindle, we must work collectively to leverage all available community resources to sustain the positive impact of extended school programs on our students' growth. If your organization has funding or grants to provide programming for students enrolled in New Haven Public Schools, please include this information in your application.
The needs for the project include, but are not limited to:
- School-Based After-School Programming
- Community-Based After-School Programming
- Out-of-School Time Enrichment Programs (Weekend Programming, Summer, Vacation Breaks, Early Dismissal Days, Holidays/in-service days)
- Family Engagement
BackgroundThe scope of work for the initiative includes the knowledge of educational programming, curriculum development, and child development principles, the ability to work with other Community-Based Organizations and provide support services for students and their families, and an understanding of district policies and state regulations. Additionally, potential partners should have strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and school staff. This presents an excellent opportunity for Community-based organizations to contribute to the community by demonstrating their ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment, aiding the growth of our staff, students, and families.
