Description: The City of Hutto, a home-rule municipality, is requesting a sealed proposal (RFP) from a qualified vendor to establish and operate a comprehensive on-demand public transportation rideshare program serving residents and visitors within the City of Hutto, TX (the City). As the City continues to experience rapid population growth and expanding community needs, the demand for flexible, technology-driven transportation solutions has become increasingly important. The City currently lacks a fixed-route transit system sufficient to meet the mobility needs of its population, and an on-demand rideshare model offers a cost-effective, scalable alternative that can address first-mile and last-mile connectivity, reduce individual vehicle dependency, and provide equitable access to transportation across the community. The program is intended to serve a broad population, including working adults, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, youth, and other community members who require accessible and reliable transportation within defined service boundaries. The City seeks a partner capable of deploying an integrated technology platform, managing day-to-day operations, providing vehicles or vehicle coordination, and delivering performance data and reporting to City staff.
