have read and understand the 2025 Allen County Technical Specifications for Open Drain Maintenance.

Scope of Work:

Contractor shall perform De-Brushing, Obstruction Removal, and Restoration on the August Martin Drain in Jefferson

Twp/Sec 7 beginning @ E. Lincoln Hwy following the drain south to the west side of I469. Total Length = 2,640 L.F.

**NOTE: PROJECT IS WITHIN NEW HAVEN LIMITS AND BURNING IS NOT APPROVED PER NEW HAVEN

PUBLIC WORKS DEPT. **

Supplemental Work not Covered in Technical Specs: removal of abandoned bridge span (approximately 120’ west of I-469

culverts)

NOTE: Contractor must follow IC 36-9-27, applicable state/local laws, and Allen County Surveryor's Office

Technical Specifications. Contractor shall utilize the regulated drain easement. Any access and damage

outside the easement is the responsibility of the Contractor. All drain work is subject to Allen County

Surveyor's Office approval. 48 hours notification for inspection is required before work can begin.

Location: August Martin Drain in Je erson Twp/Sec 7 beginning @ E. Lincoln Hwy following

the drain south to the west side of I469. Total Length = 2,640 L.F.

Scope of Work: Contractor shall perform De-Brushing, Obstruction Removal, and

Restoration on the August Martin Drain. All Work shall be in accordance with the Allen

County Surveyor’s O ice Drain Maintenance Specifications. NOTE: PROJECT IS WITHIN

NEW HAVEN LIMITS AND BURNING IS NOT APPROVED PER NEW HAVEN PUBLIC WORKS

DEPT.

Limits of Work: Work shall begin on the south side of E. Lincoln Hwy and proceed to the

culverts at I469.

Access: Access is from E. Lincoln Hwy along the west side of the drain, utilizing the 75’

regulated drain easement. Contractor may need to access the east side of the drain via

McConnell Dr. and across private property. Contractor responsible for making those

arrangements.

Working Side: West Side of Drain

Estimated Depth of Drain: 10 ft-15 ft.

Wetlands: None present within limits

Muck Soils Present: No, primary soil is Hoytville silty clay.

Mats for Equipment Access: Not expected.

Spoil Disposal from Ditch Dipping: n/a
