• Summary DPR seeks proposals from qualified contractors for forest health services on a continuing on-call basis, establishing a group of on-call contractors to provide services throughout the City of Denver and Denver Mountain Parks. Services may include timber stand improvement, fuels reduction, and vegetation management.

The City and County of Denver Department of Parks and Recreation (“DPR”) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for forest health services on a continuing on-call basis. DPR seeks to establish a group of qualified on-call contractors to provide these services throughout the City of Denver and Denver Mountain Parks.
Forest health services may include timber stand improvement, forest fuels reduction, and other vegetation management activities designed to improve forest health, reduce wildfire risk, enhance ecosystem resilience, and support long-term nature resource management.
Work may include, but is not limited to:

• Forest harvesting and logging operations;
• Cutting, thinning, and removal of live and dead vegetation;
• Skidding, hauling, and disposal or utilization of forest products and biomass;
• Slash treatment and disposal, including chipping, piling, mastication, scattering, removal, or prescribed burning (where authorized);
• Hazard tree identification, mitigation, and removal;
• Forest pest and disease management activities;
• Vegetation management associated with ecological restoration and wildfire mitigation projects

The City anticipates awarding multiple contracts with a maximum compensation amount of Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000) each over a four (4) year term.
