LEGAL NOTICE

Sealed bids will be received by the City Engineer on behalf of the Director of Administration, City of

Wooster, State of Ohio, at the office of said City Engineer, 538 N. Market Street, Wooster, Ohio,

44691 until twelve o'clock noon, Thursday, December 4, 2025 for the WAY-WOOSTER LOOP

PHASE 3 in accordance with the specifications on file in said office.

Project Description: Construction of 1.3 miles of multi‐use path along E. Milltown Road and 0.5

miles of multi‐use path along Melrose Drive in the City of Wooster.

Project Cost: The Engineer’s estimated construction cost for this project is $1,950,000.

Project Completion Date: October 31, 2026

Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, and be

accompanied by a bidding bond or a certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid price as a guaranty

that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance secured OR provide a

contract bond for 100% of the bid amount.

Copies of the contract documents are on file in the office of the City Engineer, City of Wooster, Ohio and

are available for inspection by prospective bidders in the office or on the city’s bidding information

webpage https://www.woosteroh.com/engineering/bidding-information. Bidders must register for the

plans through the city’s ViewPoint website. Bidders must be registered for their bids to be considered. Bid

book and plans will be sent electronically.

Bidders are required to use the forms furnished on application. Bids shall be sealed and marked “WAY-

WOOSTER LOOP PHASE 3” and mailed or delivered to the address above. Attention of bidders is

called to all requirements contained in this packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions

and Davis-Bacon Wages, ODOT requirements, and various equal opportunity provisions. Each bidder

must have the appropriate, current ODOT prequalification for roadway projects and present their

Certificates of Qualifications at the time of the bid opening. The right is reserved to reject any and all

bids, and/or alternate unit prices.
