December 5, 2025 CLARIFICATION - Due to a few questions/inquiries we received, we thought it would be helpful to send a general clarification note on our current tree/grinding’s removal RFP.
Since the volume of this RFP is larger than past requests, there is the likely potential the overall proposal amount will be over $25,000. Under these parameters, prevailing wage is a requirement of the DNR Community Tree Planting Grant. Therefore, there is the possibility this work could be audited regarding wages paid. We encourage you to reach out to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) or visit their website. A simple internet search should pull up the information.
Additionally, traffic control will be a requirement of the awarded contractor. We encourage you to follow all OSHA and MUTCD guidelines regarding traffic control.
We hope this information can help guide you to the correct governing authorities regarding these matters.
