Overview

Summary

The City of Lakeland Water Utilities division is in need of a rental dewatering equipment for the dewatering of biosolids at the Northside Treatment facility. This dewatering equipment will be used to dewater 2% biosolids into minimum 15% solids for transport to landfill. The equipment will be operated by plant personnel.

Background

The Northside Treatment Facility is an 8MGD wastewater treatment facility that treats wastewater for the northside of Lakeland. The biosolids are trucked to the City of Lakelands Glendale Treatment Facility during normal operation. When the Glendale Treatment Facility digestion system is at capacity the Northside Treatment Facility is not able to truck these solids to Glendale and this rental dewatering equipment will be used to reduce the solids at Northside by hauling biosolids to a landfill.
