Project Name Canyon Point HVAC Replacement Project Number 906030.01 Project Description Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work:
This project consists of the replacement of the existing HVAC equipment servicing UCLA Housing's Canyon Point Residence Hall. Canyon Point is an undergraduate student residential facility located in the northwest quadrant of the campus. The facility includes 214 student rooms and three faculty apartments. The 107,419 gsf building, originally constructed in 1991, is subdivided into 8 “Houses,” varying from three to four stories. The associated scope includes: • Replacement of all fan coil units throughout as well as the main loop chilled water control valves on the roof. • Replacement of analog thermostats with control network-compatible thermostats to ready the building for later installation of an automation system which will be accomplished under a separate project.
