Content Summary: Question & Answer, Provision Changes, Plan Sheet Changes
A bidder has made the following request, and the Department has provided the
    corresponding response:
Bidder Question: Is there a maintenance period for the project area after
    substantial completion?
Department Response: Yes, see revised Intermediate Contract Time Number 1 And
Liquidated Damages (ICT 1) listed below.
Bidder Question: Are there any areas of soil that are unsuitable and need to be
    replaced with stable soil?
Department Response: We do not anticipate that undercut excavation will be
necessary; however, we have included 75 cubic yards (CY) of undercut
excavation in the estimate as a contingency.
Bidder Question: Need clarification that the project is in the middle of the
highway and does not include the outside edge near the guardrails. Is this
    correct?

can they be flagged before the beginning of the project?
Department Response: All known utilities have been located and are depicted
on Sheets 4 and 5 of the plans. Please refer the bidder to Section 105-8 of the

    marking prior to construction.
