Description The Work of this project provides for the furnishing of all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment and plant, and the performing of all Work in accordance with these specifications and drawings, with exception of work that is expressly and specifically not included in the project.

The project shall rehabilitate the cast in place concrete tunnel walls for the underground section of the track. Multiple repair types have been identified for size and severity of cracking.

Work shall include, but not be limited to:
• Crack injection utilizing epoxy for dry cracks.
• Crack injection utilizing polyurethane for crack with active water leakage.
• Curtain Grouting for high frequency cracks with active water leakage.
• Isolated grouting for isolated cracks with active water leakage.
• Repairs of spalled Concrete using Class D repair.
• Providing weepholes to address water pressure buildup and divert water to the existing drainage system.

Requests may be accompanied by certified check, cashier’s check or postal money order drawn in favor of the NFTA. This sum is non-refundable. The Contract Documents may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester.

Special Instructions The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period.
Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid.

The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the Work with its own forces.

The time of completion for the project is 360 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified. Refer to Specification Section 01 11 00 for all milestones and associated liquidated Damages.

The MWBE (Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises) and SDVOB (Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business) Goals are as follows: MBE 0%, WBE 7% and SDVOB 3%.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on November 19, 2025 at 1:00PM at the MTC, 1st Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. A site visit will be offered after the Conference.
