Proposals received after the designated time will notbe considered. The OWNER of the project is the Paulding County Board of Commissioners. Allquestions about the bid process, plans or specifications must be submitted in writing topurchase@paulding.gov.The Completion date for this project is eight (8) months from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by theowner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of theOWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of thecontract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or cash in equal amount.The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, for 100% of thecontract amount, with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents andexecuted on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in theAgreement.Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the FederalRegistry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, belicensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in theState of Georgia.Requests for payments are due by the FIFTH (5th) of the month for payment by the TWENTIETH (20th)of the month less 10% retainage. Retainage (10%) is to be held until final acceptance of the project bythe Paulding County Department of Transportation.All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNERmay, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date.All work performed for this project will be IAW Georgia Department of Transportation StandardSpecification for Construction of Roads and Bridges, Current Edition, and attached modifications andspecial provisions.Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the OWNER. Each sealedenvelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as, “Bid Enclosed- Bid No. 26009-1505, FY 2026 Safety Action Plan”.
