JOHN DALY BOULEVARD/SKYLINE BOULEVARD PEDESTRIAN CONNECTION PROJECT Posted :Nov. 19, 2025
The work includes clearing and grubbing, grading, grinding existing asphalt concrete, paving with new asphalt concrete, reconstruction of curb, gutter, and curb ramps to meet current ADA standards, construction of new sidewalk, installation of new pedestrian street lights, installation of thermoplastic striping and markings, installation of traffic signs and posts, installation of new catch basin, and adjustment of utility manhole frames, covers and other utility boxes to finished grade and other work as shown on plans or as specified in the specifications.

You may also view and download these documents from the City's website:https://www.dalycity.org/581/Standards-SpecificationsBids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified or cashier's check payable to City of Daly City, in anamount not less than 10% of the aggregate bid.A valid Class A license or other combination of any Class C licenses that constitutes a majority of thecontract work must be in the possession of the successful bidder at the time the bid is submitted.The time limit for the completion of work is one hundred twenty-five (125) working days. The first day ofthis time period will be no later than the 28th calendar day after the contract award.In accordance with the California Labor Code, general prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages shall bepaid on this project. Copies of applicable prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages are available on requestto the City Engineer.Due to the passage of Senate Bill 854, several additions and revisions were made to the California LaborCode. The addition of Labor Code 1725.5 requires all contractors and subcontractors to register with theDepartment of Industrial Relations (DIR) to be eligible to work on public works projects. At the time thebid is submitted the Contractor and all subcontractors must be registered with the DIR in accordance withthe California Labor Code to be eligible for the project. The project is subject to compliance monitoringand enforcement by the DIR. (a) A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on,be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, orengage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currentlyregistered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.
