Project Description

Engineering – The Eagle County Engineering Department is soliciting proposals from contractors to perform the design / construction of the High Street Rockwall Repair in the Town of Red Cliff within Eagle County Colorado.

Major Work items to include but are not limited to:

• Traffic Control – Closure of High Street and set a detour using Water Street
  
  • Traffic Control to be paid as a lump sum item.
  • Traffic Control to be implemented as detailed in the Traffic Control / Detour Plan
• Mobilize Equipment, Materials and Crew to Site
• Rock Scaling of the Rockface above High Street
  
  • Rock Scaling section of the proposal to be paid at an hourly rate with a maximum of 160-man hours.
  • The hourly rate should take into account all necessary equipment required for the rock scaling.
  • Eagle County to provide debris removal and disposal.
• Drill and install hollow bar soil nails through the existing rock wall face.
  
  • Soil nails will be 40mm hollow bar soil nails installed in lengths up to 20-ft.
• Shoot shotcrete facing.
  
  • The shotcrete facing will be 6-inch nominal, grey, rough gun finish.

Construction is anticipated to last 2 months. Tentatively August 3, 2026 to September 30, 2026.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held virtually on TUESDAY, JUNE 9, 2026 beginning at 1:00 P.M. MDST. Bids will be accepted only from pre-qualified bidders who attend the mandatory pre-bid conference.

Proposals must be received by email to richard.davies@eaglecounty.us , U.S. mail to the Eagle County Engineering Department, P.O. Box 850, Eagle, CO 81631 or by FedEx, UPS, DHL, or hand delivery to the Eagle County Engineering Department at 500 Broadway, Eagle, CO 81631 no later than 4:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 2026. Any proposal received after this time will not be considered and will be returned to the respondent unopened unless good cause is shown as determined by Eagle County in its sole discretion.
