MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS FOR WATER TANK

AT THE OCONEE COUNTY ROCK QUARRY

Oconee County is seeking quotations from qualified vendors for Mini Misting Head Assemblies. The misting heads will be

utilized with in the Oconee County Rock Quarry to assist with managing dust suppression.

Specification: 35 DB-M Min Misting Head with (9) Standard 19.5 Nozzles on 2-ft Boom (BossTek or Approved Equal)

1. General

Provide a total of 18, 35 DB-M Mini Misting Head assembly manufactured by BossTek or approved equal for dust

suppression and localized misting applications. The misting head shall be designed for efficient atomization and adjustable

nozzle configurations to suit varying flow and coverage requirements.

2. Misting Head Assembly

• Model: 35 DB-M Mini Misting Head or approved equal

• Boom Length: 2 ft rigid boom mounting arm

• Nozzle Quantity: Nine (9) misting nozzles

• Nozzle Type: Standard 19.5 misting nozzles

• Configuration: Modular nozzle arrangement allowing nozzles to be added, removed, or replaced with different

nozzle sizes to meet site-specific dust suppression or misting requirements.

3. Flow Performance

• Adjustable water flow rate range: 0.65 – 6.00 GPM, depending on nozzle quantity and size installed.

• Designed to provide fine mist atomization for dust control and cooling applications.

4. Filtration

• Integrated in-line 75-mesh (200-micron) filter included with assembly.

• Filter shall be rated for supply pressures in the range of 47-200 PSI and designed to protect misting nozzles from

clogging due to particulate in the water supply.

5. Water Supply Connection Options

The misting head assembly shall include one of the following connection options:

• 3/4-inch swivel hose coupling (standard connection), or

• 1-1/2-inch NPT threaded connection for direct piping integration.

6. Operating Pressure

• Maximum supply pressure: in the range of 47-200 PSI

• System components shall be compatible with standard water supply pressures used for dust suppression systems.

7. Materials and Construction

• Boom and fittings shall be constructed of corrosion-resistant materials suitable for outdoor and industrial

environments.

• Nozzles shall be designed for fine droplet atomization and durability in continuous operation.

8. Adjustability and Maintenance

• Nozzle system shall allow quick replacement or adjustment without disassembling the entire misting head.

• Filter shall be accessible for cleaning and maintenance.

9. Application

The misting head assembly shall be suitable for:

• Dust suppression systems

• Material handling operations

• Stockpile and conveyor transfer point dust control

• Cooling or humidification where fine mist distribution is required.

BASIS OF AWARD

The award of quote will be to the most responsible, responsive bidder based on low price. Oconee County reserves the right

to reject any or all quotes, waive any technicalities or informalities if it is deemed in the best interest of the County.
