Bid Detail26-005 - Community Preservation Coordinator
End date: Monday August 25, 2025 at 2 p.m.The City of Springfield Community Preservation Committee seeks a qualified professional to provide administrative and program management assistance to the City of Springfield Community Preservation Committee. Requires three to five years’ experience in housing and community development, public administration and finance/accounting, grant management, or community planning in a municipality, state or other public agency, or a similar skill set acquired in the private sector in which the qualifications are directly related.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be in writing received by the Office of Procurement no later than August 18, 2025 by 4:30 P.M.
The coordinator will prepare for meetings, posting agendas, distributing information to the committee members and City Clerk, interfacing with various City departments along with preparing reports, maintaining records and communication with all CPA grant awardees, drafting contracts and managing the Historic Homes Restoration Program (provided funding is approved by the Springfield City Council). Write press releases, update the CPA webpage on the City website using Typo3, maintain an email database, post fresh content on the committee Facebook page and other social media, and general communication and outreach with the public. Work will be performed under the supervision of the Community Preservation Committee. No supervision will be exercised over other employees.
The selected coordinator will be required to work approximately 30 hours per week.
The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
