Legal Notice

1. Sealed proposals for Bryan County Genesis Drive Water & Sewer Extension owned by BRYAN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS will be received by Community Development Attn: Kirk Croasmun at the Bryan County Administration Building, located at 66 Captain Matthew Freeman Drive, Richmond Hill, GA 31327 until 10 A.M. on October 29 ^th , 2024 at which time they will be publicly opened.
   

   For the Bid Submittal Instructions see RFP documents and Contract Documents Section 00 21 13 “Instruction for Bidders”.

2. The project consists of the following generally described work:
   

   The scope of work includes the furnishment and installation of approximately 1200 LF of 16-inch water main and 5200 LF of 8-inch force main along Genesis Drive. The work shall include jack and bores, plug valves, butterfly valves, air release valves, fire hydrants, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project.

3. Plans and Specifications are be obtained from Thomas & Hutton Engineering Co., Savannah, Georgia 31405 upon payment of $100.00 (plus shipping charges as applicable).The payment is non–refundable. Contact Karen Smulski at smulski.k@tandh.com to request plans and specifications. Only Bidders who obtain documents for Thomas & Hutton (issuing office) shall be placed on the plan holder list and allowed to submit bids.
   

4. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability." Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney–in–fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond.
   

5. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner.

1. A Pre–Bid Conference will be held on October 15 ^th , 2024 at 10 A.M. at the Bryan County Administration Building, 2nd floor, located at 66 Captain Matthew Freeman Drive, Richmond Hill, GA 31324. All prospective bidders encouraged to attend.
