at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; https://www.springfield-ma.gov/cos/ beginning on September 16, 2026.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to remove the old walk-in refrigerator and install a new one at Early Childhood Education Center, 15 Catharine St, Springfield, MA 01109. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $40,000.00.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on 9/23/26 at 10:00 AM on-site. All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement on or before 9/23/26 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. MA DLS Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
