Summary

The City of Pueblo is seeking Statements of Qualification from Contractors to provide comprehensive moving services for various departments/sites to alternate locations within the City. The services shall include removal of items from existing locations, disassembly and reassembly as needed, and proper placement of the items in the new locations at the remodeled City Annex Building, City Hall, and/or the Pope Block Building. The selected Contractor will be responsible to ensure that all items are moved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable safety standards.

Background

The City of Pueblo has purchased and is remodeling the building now known as the City Annex Building (CAB) at 101 W. Riverwalk (previously the Professional Bull Riders Headquarters) for the relocation of many City services offices. Each of the departments/sites that will be relocated to the building are spread throughout the City, and will now be housed in one central downtown location to provide exceptional customer services for the City's residents, business owners, visitors, and employees. Most of the departments/sites are utilizing their existing furniture, equipment, files/records, etc. at the new facility and require assistance moving the items.

The CAB building is currently being remodeled by H.W. Houston Construction. As the building nears remodel completion, the departments/sites moving into the spaces will be moved to their new locations. It is anticipated that the project will be phased for each department/site as the various CAB areas become available.

Building Characteristics:

  1. 4-stories, with a total area of approximately +/- 43,785 SF
    1. 1st floor is a walk-out at onto the Riverwalk side and is minimally included in the move (storage of some items only) (11,467 SF)
    2. 2nd floor is directly accessed from the parking lot and is the main entrance to the building (8,672 SF)
    3. 3rd and 4th floors (11,823 SF each) can be accessed from either elevator and from 2 sets of stair
  2. One (1) main passenger elevators
  3. One (1) service elevator
  4. One (1) service entrance with overhead door

Additionally, some items may be moved to the City's existing buildings, City Hall and the Pope Block Building.
