BACKGROUND
This acquisition is to build a new fire station at HAFB, a new APT, and demolish Building 1721. The current fire station is in Building 1721, which also includes HAFB’s APT. A new APT will be constructed near its current location. The new fire station will be built on HAFB at the site of an abandoned gas station, Building 1639. Building 1639 is currently being demolished under a separate contract. The new fire station will be a single story, 25,532 square foot (SF), fully functional facility. The program includes apparatus bays for six vehicles, living quarters, and administration spaces. Proposed construction will consist of a concrete foundation, reinforced floor slabs, steel framing and masonry walls, HVAC, central fire alarm, Emergency Communications Center with Fire and Security Forces Dispatch, paving, and landscaping.
