1CALL FOR BIDSNotice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Redmond, Washington, nolater than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, for the construction of ADA Curb RampProject - 2026, Project No. 2515. The Subcontractor List must be submitted with the bidpackage within the deadline listed above. The bids will immediately thereafter be opened andpublicly read. Bid Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.All bids shall be submitted following the instructions outlined in Section 1-02.9. The bid openingwill be held via Microsoft Teams Live Event about 11:30 a.m. to allow time to download the bids.Prior to the bid opening, the link to the webcast will be provided on BXWA and the City’swebsite at redmond.gov/bids (in the bid item for this project).The Work to be performed shall include: Construction of pedestrian and bicycle improvements,including but not limited to construction of various curb ramps and cement concrete sidewalk,installation of rectangular rapid flashing beacon systems, roadway paving, channelization andsignage restoration, and other work necessary to complete the project. Engineer’s Estimate forthis work is $2,280,000 to $2,790,000. All physical work shall be completed in the timespecified in Section 1-08.5.This project has a mandatory apprentice utilization requirement of 15% in accordance with RCW39.04.320 and Redmond Municipal Code 15.28. All contractors must meet the requirements asstated in Section 1-07.9(3) of these special provisions. A monetary incentive will be paid to thecontractor meeting the apprentice utilization requirement. A monetary penalty will be applied tothe contractor failing to meet the utilization requirement and failing to demonstrate a Good FaithEffort. The incentive and penalty amounts are stated in Section 1-07.9(3). Bidders may contactthe Department of Labor & Industries, Apprenticeship Section, to obtain information on availableapprenticeship programs.Plans, Contract Provisions, addenda, pertinent supplementary information, and plan holders listfor this project are available on-line through Builders Exchange of Washington athttp://www.bxwa.com.
