VILLAGE OF FRANKFORTWILL COUNTY, ILLINOISNOTICE TO CONTRACTORS26-R0607The Mayor and Board of Trustees will receive sealed proposals for the following improvements atVillage Hall, 432 West Nebraska St., Frankfort, IL 60423, until 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday May 19,2026.ST. ANDREWS WAY AND GLENBARR LANEWATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTSProposals will be publicly read aloud after 9:31 A.M. Tuesday May 19, 2026. No bid shall bewithdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the Mayor and Board ofTrustees for a period of ninety days after the scheduled time of closing bids.All proposals shall be sealed in an envelope, addressed to the Village of Frankfort. The name andaddress of the bidder and the name of the project shall also appear on the outside of the envelope.Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by the Engineer.The Bid Documents, including specifications, are on file at the office of the Engineer, RobinsonEngineering, Ltd., (phone 815-806-0300), Email: reladministrative@reltd.com, and may be obtainedelectronically via email upon review of prequalification information. The bid documents will beissued until 4:30 PM on Friday May 15, 2026.A bid bond or certified check/bank draft drawn on a solvent bank, payable without condition to theVillage of Frankfort in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted witheach proposal, as a guarantee that, if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into andthe performance of the contract is properly secured.A performance bond in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid, withsureties to be approved by the Mayor and Board of Trustees for the faithful performance of thecontract, must be furnished by the successful bidder. All bids or proposals shall contain an offer tofurnish bond upon acceptance of such bid or proposal.The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, to postpone the bidopening, or to advertise for new proposals, if in the judgment of the Mayor and Board of Trusteestheir best interests will be promoted thereby.The Contractor will be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates on this project asestablished by the United States Department of Labor. He shall also comply with all applicableFederal, State and local regulations.Prequalification will be required to be submitted to the Engineer by all potential bidders. If in theopinion of the Engineer and the Mayor and Board of Trustees, an applicant would not be able toserve the best interest of the Village, a proposal will not be issued to the applicant.Mayor and Board of TrusteesVillage of Frankfort
