NOTICE TO BIDDERSNotice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township of Maple Shade, for theButtonwood Park Drainage Improvements, Contract No. 2026-1, and will be opened and read inpublic at the Municipal Complex, 200 Stiles Avenue, Maple Shade, New Jersey 08052 onFriday, February 20, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., prevailing time.The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary or required tocomplete all work set forth in these Specifications and shown on the Plans. The work for thisproject includes, but is not limited to, clearing site; maintenance and protection of traffic;temporary soil erosion and sediment control; excavating, filling, and grading; in-placeabandonment of inlets and piping; construction of four (4) type ‘E’ inlets; installation of 15” and18” high density polyethylene piping (378 LF total); installation of 18” reinforced concretepiping (393 LF); removal of trees of various sizes (7 total); planting of deciduous and coniferoustrees (11 total); site cleanup and restorations.Plans, Specifications and forms of bid for the proposed work prepared by Richard A. AlaimoAssociates, Municipal Engineer, have been filed in the office of said ENGINEER, at 200 HighStreet, Mount Holly, New Jersey, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during theregular business hours. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Specifications, Plans andProposal by the ENGINEER at the cost of preparation thereof, $45.00, nonrefundable; plus$10.00 postage and handling if mailed. Checks shall be made payable to RICHARD A.ALAIMO ASSOCIATES.Bids must be made on the standard Proposal form in the manner designated therein and must beenclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of theproject on the outside, addressed to the Township of Maple Shade, and must be accompanied byCertified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier’s Check drawn to the order of the Township of MapleShade for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be morethan $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from anapproved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing tofurnish the required Performance and Maintenance Bonds upon the award of contract.The signed Proposal forms and bid security must be delivered to the place and on or before thehour named above. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after theNotice of Award or forfeit his bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the threeapparent lowest responsible bidders.
