Invitation to BidSealed proposals for Mansfield Ave & Cottage St Sanitary Improvements PID 2591301 willbe received by the City of Mount Vernon at the City Engineering Department, 40 Public Square, MountVernon, Ohio, 43050, until 11:00 am local time, March 26, 2026, and then at said office publicly openedand read aloud.Bids shall be sealed and marked on the outside envelope as bid for Mansfield Ave & Cottage StSanitary Improvements PID 2591301 and mailed or delivered to Tanner Salyers, Safety-ServiceDirector, City of Mount Vernon, Ohio, 40 Public Square, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050.This project includes the replacement of an existing clay sanitary sewer in a utility easementintersecting 5 residential rear yards along Mansfield Ave. The project also includes the installation of a120 ft sanitary sewer extension on Cottage St to replace a sanitary lateral currently shared by 3 residencesas indicated in the drawings and specifications. Questions regarding the work should be directed to theCity Engineer at 740-393-9528.Plans, specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the City Engineering Department uponpayment of $30.00 for each set. Checks shall be made payable to City of Mount Vernon, Ohio and alldocuments become the property of the prospective bidder, with no portion of the payment being refunded.The Bidding Document Package must be purchased from the above-mentioned location to be considered aplan holder, receive addenda, and be eligible to bid on the project.Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and allpersons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similarsize and complexity. The Owner intends and requires that this project be completed and ready for finalpayment by October 31, 2026.Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of ten (10) percent of thebid. Said guaranty may be in the form of a bid bond, bid guaranty and contract bond, a certified check orcashier’s check or a letter of credit. Bid guarantees must meet the requirements of Section 153.54 of theOhio Revised Code.All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable useOhio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project.
