The services will be utilized for various school-related activities, including, but not limited to, field trips, athletic events, extracurricular activities, and special events on an as needed basis. The selected vendors will be required to provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation solutions tailored to the needs of our students and staff.
BackgroundThrough this Request for Proposal (RFP), the District is seeking to identify one or more vendors who can most fully meet the needs of the District as specified in this document and any associated attachments. The District intends to award the resulting contract to the highest ranked offerors meeting specification in accordance with the Evaluation Criteria .
Based on enrollment, the District is the seventh largest school district in Virginia. With nearly 40,000 students and 6,000 employees in 56 schools and centers, the District is committed to providing excellence in education for the children of Chesapeake. There are 28 elementary, 10 middle, seven high schools, and two specialty centers that offer and/or sponsor trips for students, clubs, and associations. As new schools are opened, they will have access to these services.
