Scope of Services
Brevard County Purchasing Services, on behalf of the Natural Resources Management Department, is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the creation of an artificial patch reef. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and supervision to construct and deploy at least 125 tons of donated clean, re-use concrete materials. The contractor shall be responsible for providing a staging area and unloading services for the donated material. The artificial reef shall be constructed as one patch reef at the designated location within the permitted Brevard County Artificial Reef Site #2 area, in the Atlantic Ocean 15.5 nautical miles east of Port Canaveral, Florida, at a depth of 83 feet. Bid will be awarded to the most responsible and qualified bidder, with the lowest cost per ton for a minimum bid of 125 tons of material. The County has an additional 375 tons of donated artificial reef material available. If funding is available, the Contractor has the option to deploy the additional material up to an additional 375 tons at the quoted cost per-ton.
