Specification for Lawn Care/Shrubbery Maintenance

Emanuel County Schools

Lawn Care Service:

1. Grass will be mowed to the boundaries of the following campuses from

street to tree line and all lawn debris removed, beginning March 1

through November 30 with no more than 2 cuttings per month, each

mowing to be every 12 to 15 days, and each mowing site to be completed

within 5 working days. Contractor will clean all clippings from sidewalks,

curbs and roadways immediately after mowing and/or edging. Clipping

will not be swept, blown, or otherwise disposed of in sewer drains.

Shrubbery Service:

1. Trimming of shrubbery twice per year (during school term). An additional

trimming at ECI/SHS will be completed just prior to Graduation Day.

2. Removal of all trimming debris.

3. Pruning of crepe myrtles.

4. At Board of Education office only-grass will be mowed twice per month (in

cutting season), flowerbeds will be weeded and edged as needed and parking

lot will be blown off.

Conditions:

1. Contractor will be responsible for providing the necessary labor,

equipment and supplies for mowing school campuses.

2. Contractor will provide a Certificate of Insurance outlining Workman’s

Compensation, property and personal liability insurance coverage. A

minimum of $500,000.00 will be required and E-verify certification.

3. Services are for 2025-2026 with one-year rollover contingent upon

acceptable service evaluation by Assistant Superintendent of Administrative

Services.

4. Deadline for submitting quote will be 2:00 p.m., February 4, 2026. Quote

should reflect total cost for lawn care, per cutting, at all locations listed

above. Please attach Certificate of Liability Insurance.
