The Roseville City School District (“RCSD” or “District”) issues this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit qualified vendors to provide enterprise-grade,

Design, specifications, service, delivery,and quality may be considered in making selections.Published: November 21, 2025 and November 28, 2025 - Press Tribune2Roseville City School District - Category 2 Deliver by 2:00 p.m. (PST) January 6, 2026Request for Proposal 26-917INTERNAL CONNECTIONSUPS SystemsSUMMARYThe Roseville City School District (“RCSD” or “District”) issues this Request for Proposal(RFP) to solicit qualified vendors to provide enterprise-grade, E-Rate eligible UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) equipment to be used throughout the District’s 22 schools anddesignated support facilities.The resulting agreement will support the District’s instructional and operational mission and willbe structured to comply with all requirements of the Federal Communications Commission(FCC) Schools and Libraries Program (E-Rate) administered by the Universal ServiceAdministrative Company (USAC).Selection will be based on E-Rate compliant cost-effectiveness, of which price is the mostheavily weighted factor, but not the sole determinant. The District reserves the right to make noaward or to negotiate final award terms consistent with E-Rate requirements. All award decisionswill be documented with sufficient rationale and contemporaneous records to satisfy E-Rateaudit and review obligations.IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS IN THIS RFPThe following documents are included as part of this Request for Proposal (RFP). The goalof this initiative has been to create a homogeneous infrastructure that maximizes resources inmanaging the network while reducing maintenance and training costs.For this funding year, RCSD intends to maintain and expand its existing network by adding UPSunits as needed across the District and supporting the opening of a new school site.3Roseville City School District - Category 2 Deliver by 2:00 p.m. (PST) January 6, 2026Request for Proposal 26-917INTERNAL CONNECTIONSUPS SystemsPROJECTThe District is looking to purchase a UPS System and UPS replacement consumables that cankeep our network infrastructure equipment (such as Ethernet switches, access points) up andrunning in the event that power is removed from a building or campus.In addition, any proposed System should include:● UPS solution that can be monitored remotely via web and SNMP● Ability to expand the amount of time in the future if needed by adding additionalbatteries● UPS consumables that are easily replaceableProposed solutions should meet or exceed these goals and the requirements listed throughout thisRFP. While specific part numbers may be listed, the District is open to equivalent substitutionsthat meet all minimum requirements and integrate fully into the existing architecture.TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTSControl and ManagementThe District currently monitors all of its UPS units via web browser along with SNMP pollingand alerting as needed. Any solution proposed should at a minimum meet this requirement. Inaddition, the following items are desired:● Management of platform capable via CLI and HTML5 Web Interface● Browser agnostic management tools● End-user workstation management should be OS agnostic● Firmware upgrade and downgrade capabilities● Local logging of incoming power and events● Notification via email and SNMP of power changes outside of a threshold, disruption ofpower, or loss of connectivityINTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK4Roseville City School District - Category 2 Deliver by 2:00 p.m. (PST) January 6, 2026Request for Proposal 26-917INTERNAL CONNECTIONSUPS SystemsLABOR AND INSTALLATIONAll work must be performed outside of regular school operating hours or on weekends whereapplicable.Labor to Stage and Prepare Equipment● Inventory and affix District asset tags● Label equipment per District naming conventions● Load and customize District-provided configuration files and firmware● Stage equipment at vendor or District-designated locations● Provide documentation (equipment list, part numbers, serial numbers, IP addresses, andasset tags) in JPEG and CSV formatsLabor to Install Equipment● Transport equipment to sites listed in Appendix A● Tag or replace existing cables as directed● Remove and return replaced UPS equipment to RCSD● Install and connect new equipment, including mounting as needed● Verify installation and power functionality on-site or remotely with District staff● Provide final inventory and electronic documentation per District standardsADDITIONAL TASKSThe District may select up to three (3) finalists for oral interviews based on proposalevaluations.
