ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSFARVIEW AVENUE AND MIDLAND AVENUE INTERSECTIONBERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEYSealed bids will be received by the Borough of Paramus, Mayor and Council, Boroughof Paramus, 1 Jockish Square, Paramus, New Jersey 07652, in the County of Bergenand State of New Jersey on May 13, 2026 at 11:00 am prevailing time, and thenpublicly opened and read aloud for:FARVIEW AVENUE AND MIDLAND AVENUE INTERSECTIONBOROUGH OF PARAMUSBERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEYThe work to be performed under this contract includes the traffic signal improvements,removal of median, road widening, and milling and resurfacing of Farview Avenue andMidland Avenue intersection including the upgrading of ADA curb ramps and sidewalkand driveway improvements.Principal items of work in the project include:· 9,010 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3” or Less· 1,325 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course· 1,615 L.F. 9" x 20" Concrete Vertical Curb·1 Unit Controller, 8 Phase w/ Battery Backup System·4 Unit Image Detector·L.S. Temporary Traffic Signal System, Location 1The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 360 calendardays of notice to proceed.Copies of plans, specification, and contract documents will be on file for public inspectionat the Borough Clerk’s office, Borough of Paramus, 1 Jockish Square, Paramus, NewJersey 07652, during normal business hours.A copy of the plans, specification, and contract documents will be on file for publicinspection at Boswell Engineering, 330 Phillips Avenue, South Hackensack, New Jersey07606, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. prevailing time, Monday throughFriday, excluding legal holidays. Printed copies of theplans, specification, and contract documents may be obtained upon request, inaccordance with Boswell’s applicable printing fees at the time of request.Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawingsand Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statementcompliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check,cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and,not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Ownerand will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contractawarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properlysecured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance andpayment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security forthe faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder mustfurnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In defaultthereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaidOwner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporationsnot chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized todo business in the State of New Jersey.Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. andN.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporationsand partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosureof partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearingthe name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for theFARVIEW AVENUE AND MIDLAND AVENUE INTERSECTION.The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wagerates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor.All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for aperiod of sixty (60) days.The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities orirregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder.BOROUGH OF PARAMUSAnnemarie Krusznis, Borough Clerk
