Introduction: The Curators of the University of Missouri on behalf of MU Healthcare
(MUHC) is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding enterprise barcode
scanning solutions that support patient safety, charge capture, inventory visibility, recall
management, and workflow efficiency across inpatient, procedural, emergency,
diagnostic, and ambulatory care environments.
Objective: This RFI is intended to:
• Understand market capabilities across diverse clinical modalities
• Evaluate technical and workflow alignment with current systems
• Inform potential future RFP(s) or sourcing strategies
This RFI is not a request for pricing and does not commit the organization to issuing an
RFP or awarding a contract.

Core System Dependency Statement: Vendors must assume continued use of Oracle
Health and PeopleSoft as systems of record. Solutions requiring replacement,
circumvention, or material customization of these platforms must be disclosed.
