TO: PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
RE: BID 20260314, BAYSHORE PARK OYSTER REEF
BID DUE DATE: MARCH 11, 2026, ADDENDUM NO. 2
Bidders are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made a part of the above-named proposal and contract documents.
The following is issued to modify, and/or clarify the proposal and contract documents. These items shall have the same force
and effect as the original Quote and contract documents, and Quotes to be submitted on the specified date shall conform
with the additions, deletions and revisions as listed herein.
ITEM #1: QUESTIONS/ANSWERS:
Q1: Does this job require any kind of license from the contractor (GC, Marine Contractor, etc.).
A1: Bidder must be authorized to transact business, be properly licensed in the State of Florida, and meet
the insurance requirements specified in the Bid Documents.
Q2: Permitting: Do you anticipate the need for any permitting to be completed by the contractor?
A2: No, please note the County will be renewing the USACE Nationwide Permit upon its expiration (March 14,
2026). The new Nationwide Permit will be provided to the Awarded Contractor prior to construction.
Q3: 55-day Notice to Proceed, and the overage fee: After making some calls, most sources (all that we've
found so far) have a 2-3 month wait for materials required, both shells and bags. The bag delay comes
from the company named as a recommendation in the bid. Is the start date flexible? 55 days is more
than enough for us to do the install, but we're nervous about waiting for the proper quantity/quality
materials.
A3: The County is aware of the potential delays related to the materials. The date for Notice of Proceed will
be negotiated between the County and the Awarded Contractor at the pre-construction meeting, based
upon the timeline to obtain the materials.
Q4: Does the County require the Turbidity Curtains to be around the whole staging area?
A4: Turbidity curtains must be installed around the active work area in accordance with the specifications
and Permits. The turbidity curtains maybe repositioned as the active work area progresses.
Q5: Can the Contractor bring heavy equipment in shoreline?
A5: The Contractor is discouraged from bringing heavy equipment onto the shoreline, The Contractor may
use the playground area or the bathroom pavilion/parking lot by the playground for construction access
ad staging on site.
Q6: Is there an offsite parking available for the Contractor while preparing the oyster bags? Additionally, will
the County be monitoring the preparation of the oyster bags?
A6: No, The Contractor may use the playground area or the bathroom pavilion/parking lot by the playground
for construction access and staging on site including preparing the oyster bags.
BID NO. 20260314, ADDENDUM NO. 2
Q7: When submitting photos during the work, are they allowed to be submitted via CD or SD cards?
A7: No. The County prefers drop box or other digital platforms.
Q8: Does the County have a contact for the bag manufacturer?
A8: Yes, Natrx and Ferguson.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 20260314.
Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms.
