Description: San Miguel County, Colorado, through the Office of Emergency Management, is soliciting proposals from qualified professional planning firms or consultant teams to update the County’s multi-jurisdictional All-Hazard Mitigation Plan (AHMP). The completed plan must satisfy all applicable federal and State of Colorado local hazard mitigation planning requirements in effect at the time of review and must be approvable by the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The selected consultant will lead a comprehensive, inclusive, multi-jurisdictional planning process, update the hazard identification and risk assessment, evaluate progress since the 2023 plan, develop jurisdiction-specific mitigation strategies and actions, coordinate public and stakeholder engagement, prepare all required review documentation, support State and FEMA review, and assist each participating jurisdiction through adoption and final FEMA approval.
