Overview

Summary

Hernando County Waterways and Aquatic Services is proposing modifications and enhancements to the existing boat ramp within the Lake Townsen Regional Park. These modifications and enhancements include replacement of the existing gravel boat ramp with an all-season 15ft by 60ft concrete boat ramp; construct an approximately 62 LF, 5 ft wide timber boardwalk approach; and construct an 8ft by 16ft floating dock with an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible gangway.

Background

The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (Grantee) will use grant funds from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to improve boat access to the Withlacoochee River by constructing a new single lane concrete boat ramp, a new floating boarding dock and gangway, and boardwalk.
