BackgroundGlynn County recognizes the importance of living documents for its emergency management operations. As risks evolve and best practices change, regular updates and the development of multiple plans are essential. The development of specialized plans and annexes for specific hazards is vital to address the unique challenges these specific hazards present. The updated plans ensure Proactive Preparedness by helping the community prepare for natural disasters and hazardous material incidents well in advance. By proactively identifying risks, developing response protocols, and conducting drills, the community becomes better equipped to handle emergencies and minimize their impact on residents and infrastructure. Furthermore, detailed plans lead to a Coordinated Response, as various agencies and stakeholders can work together seamlessly. This streamlined approach fosters effective communication and resource sharing, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of emergency response operations.
