Engineer’s Estimate for this work is $940,000 to $1,140,000.

CALL FOR BIDSNotice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Redmond, Washington, nolater than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, for the construction of PavementManagement - 154th Ave NE (Redmond Way to 85th St.), Project No. 2414. TheSubcontractor List and written confirmation forms signed by the DBE subcontractors listed onthe DBE Utilization Certification form must be submitted with the bid package within thedeadline listed above. The bids will immediately thereafter be opened and publicly read. BidProposals received after the deadline will not be considered.All bids shall be submitted following the instructions outlined in Section 1-02.9. The bid openingwill be held via Microsoft Teams Live Event about 11:30 a.m. to allow time to download the bids.Prior to the bid opening, the link to the webcast will be provided on BXWA and the City’swebsite at redmond.gov/bids (in the bid item for this project).The Work to be performed shall include: Construction of approximately 1,900 linear feet ofpavement preservation on 154th Avenue NE, including but not limited to pavement grinding, fulldepth HMA repair, HMA paving, traffic signal loop replacement, cement concrete sidewalk spotreplacements, striping, storm drain and manhole frame and grate/cover replacement, impactattenuator replacement, traffic control and other work necessary to complete the project.Engineer’s Estimate for this work is $940,000 to $1,140,000. All physical work shall becompleted in the time specified in Section 1-08.5.Bidders are made aware of the requirement to include a Bidders Questionnaire (WSDOT form272-022) in accordance with special provisions section 1-02.6. Bids that do not include this format the time of bid will be rejected in accordance with Section 1-02.13 of the special provisions.Plans, Contract Provisions, addenda, pertinent supplementary information, and plan holders listfor this project are available on-line through Builders Exchange of Washington athttp://www.bxwa.com. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at(425) 258-1303 should you require further assistance.All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified or cashier’scheck or surety bid bond made payable to the City of Redmond, for a sum not less than fivepercent (5%) of the total amount of such bid including sales tax, and all listed additives andalternates.The following is applicable to Federal-aid projects. The City of Redmond, in accordance withTitle VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and theRegulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contractentered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be affordedfull and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminatedagainst on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.The contractor, subrecipient, or subcontractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color,national origin, or sex in the performance of this contract. The contractor shall carry outapplicable requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 in the award and administration of USDOT-assistedcontracts. Failure by the contractor to carry out these requirements is a material breach of thiscontract which may result in the termination of this contract or such other remedy as therecipient deems appropriate, which may include, but is not limited to: (1) Withholding monthlyprogress payments; (2) Assessing sanctions; (3) Liquidated damages, or (4) Disqualifying thecontractor from future bidding as non-responsible.Small, minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate in the bidding asprime contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers. The City reserves the right to reject any and allbids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid or in the bidding process, andmake the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
