Description: The City of Taylor will receive sealed bids for the reconstruction of Two (2) Three Bedroom 2 Bath home by 10: A.M. July 14, 2026, at City Hall, 400 Porter Street, Taylor, Texas 76574. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 A.M. on July 14, 2026, at the City Hall at the same address. Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Construction of Two (2) Three-bedroom home as described in the plans and specs to be built on separate lots within the City. The City of TAYLOR encourages local purchasing of materials for construction of these projects. Bids may be held by the City of TAYLOR for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of the Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualification of bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. Business Hours: M-F, 8a-5p Qualifications: A. Bids received after the deadline shall not be accepted and shall be returned unopened, to bidder. B. Bid packages, which are incomplete, lack required documentation, are not signed, and dated, or are illegible will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. Submissions must include all referenced attachments and required documents. C. Bidders must have at least five years' full-time experience in construction and rehabilitation of dwelling units. (Applicable experience must be documented on Attachment 1, Bidder’s Experience.) D. Bidders must have the staff, equipment, financial and technical resources needed to effectively perform all required activities. Applicable information regarding this criterion shall be recorded on ATTACHMENT 2: STATEMENT OF BIDDER’S QUALIFICATIONS. E. Bidder must comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, must have adequate general liability, Workman’s Compensation, and vehicle insurance, and may not be on a local, state or federal Consolidated List of Debarred, Suspended and Ineligible Contractors and Grantees.
