Sole Source	Dragonfly 400-SR from ANDOR This is a custom confocal microscope configured to meet the diverse imaging needs of USU faculty. The Dragonfly 400SR stands out because of its high image acquisition speed (400 frames per second), and super-resolution. In addition, it can do live-cell, time-laps imaging, which is essential for several faculty members’ research. Unique features of the Dragonfly 400SR confocal include: Proprietary Spinning disk design with a 40 um pinhole diameter and custom pinhole pitch provides superior sample/background image quality. This is important for thick samples, to maximize signal to noise ratio. Patented Borealis illumination provides even field illumination that ensures quantifiable images, regardless of where structures are located within the field of The Dragonfly 400-SR is a unique combination of widefield, spinning disk confocal, and 3D-SMLM imaging modes with a single laser engine for reduced complexity, a seamless user interface, and reduced lifetime maintenance costs.
